Movement Wins: Cindy’s journey in Animal Flow

Cindy joined our Animal Flow community in January 2026, coming in with curiosity, a bit of skepticism, and a willingness to try something new. By the end of summer, she was flowing through the Level 2 International Animal Flow Day Flow — a massive progression that makes me incredibly proud of her dedication and growth.

Her journey is exactly what I love seeing about Animal Flow: consistent effort, playful exploration, and the confidence that builds when someone realizes, “I can actually do this.”

When Cindy first arrived, everything felt unfamiliar — the names, the positions, the transitions. We began with deconstructed movements: breaking down each shape, each shift, each hold into slow, controlled pieces. No rush, no pressure, just learning the foundations and building trust in her body.

Those early sessions were all about:

  • Slower, intentional movement

  • Longer holds

  • Clear regressions and progressions

  • Feeling the right muscles activate

  • Building confidence one piece at a time

This is the heart of how I teach Animal Flow in the Tri‑Cities — approachable, supportive, and structured so every person can move at their own pace.

Cindy’s Words

“Immediately Impressed. I joined Animal Flow classes with Steve about 7 months ago. It’s completely changed how I move and feel in my body. I was a bit skeptical at the beginning because I wasn't used to the moves and their names, but after a month, I started to remember them and now I'm sure glad I joined.
My whole self has improved. I noticed better mobility, flexibility, and strength. The pains I had when I started the program are gone. I'm happier. I have energy to play at the monkey bars with my child. Most importantly, I can move!
Steve is kind, encouraging and patient. He creates a safe, calm and structured environment. He is a good listener too! What stands out most about Steve, is how attentive and encouraging he is — he meets me exactly where I am.
Animal Flow is fun and challenging. There are always adaptations to the moves. One of the reasons which keeps me going back is the amount of fun it is, one hour of it! Now, I challenge my 5 year old!!
The sessions were never rushed, and there was no pressure to do any exercises I didn't feel comfortable with. Steve makes the exercises approachable, fun and progressive. He breaks down every movement clearly, gives excellent regressions and progressions, and constantly cues proper form so you actually FEEL the right muscles working. The sessions never feel repetitive, there’s always a mix.
The sessions left me feeling energized and excited (and sweaty), rather than drained and tired.”
